Hi My Name is Cam Hilts, I am a Professional Mountain Bike Racer from North Vancouver BC. I wasn’t sure about the proper techniques of training until I met Troy Tyrell. My last off season wasn’t ideal for any sort of rider, especially me. With the problem of injuries, financials and just not having the right knowledge of proper training I knew it was time for a change in my 2009/2010 off season. Being connected with John Henry Bikes, it introduces me to many people in the riding industry. This brought me to one man by the name of Troy Tyrell, who is not only a personal trainer, but a rider as well. The day Troy and I met we were on the same page right away with ideas that would suit my needs. A week after meeting Troy at his Vancouver gym, my personal training began and I knew right away that I was in for a work out. The sweat was pouring off me after the first warm up, which was not my typical stretch and light spin warm up I’d gotten used to. Since Troy himself is a rider and he knows that I want results, he was making me work for it. After my first few sessions with Troy I instantly knew so many more mountain bikers that could benefit from his training, whether you are a DH racer, an XC racer or even just a normal avid cyclist looking for improvement. I decided to call up a few of my fellow team mates/riding friends. From their first days at training, I knew they were stoked. For the affordable rates, proper focused training and just having a great guy to train with. After 8 months of being off the bike, I was stoked to get back on. As soon as I took my first ride I instantly knew that following Troy’s personal training program was a great success. Even though I felt really rusty I could still notice huge improvements in little things like my cornering, stability, sprinting, and just having more control of the bike. My quest with Troy and t-squared Vancouver personal training has been one of pain, hardship, and undoubted pleasure. I first came to Troy with a goal to become more enhanced physically, in order to strive for success in the world of down hill mountain bike racing. He undertook my goal with passion and a great deal of perseverance as I am not an easy person to deal with. As the season slowly progressed I found myself in the best shape of my life; grinding through trails with precision and ease while still having the strength available to me if I found myself in a bit of a predicament.
